Help: Quick versus specialized/advanced

FOR MORE HELP, contact resource/research specialist Randall Halverson (rahalver@iupui.edu). I'm happy to support your classwork or research via email suggestions or by appointment: To meet by Zoom or chat, please use the "Schedule Appointment" link on this page, below my photograph and Email icon. If my listed times don't work for you, you are welcome to send 2 or 3 days/times you could meet by email. I'll respond. :~)

Or contact me at the Ask Us chat box most Fridays 1pm - 3pm.

Science students are eligible for writing support, including citing sources, via the campus University Writing Labs, and can take classes in the Technical Communication (TCM) program. You are welcome to make appointments at the Writing Center for support with any stage of a writing project, and find other resources at guide page "Write, present, manage data", linked on the left side bar.

Anytime from anywhere access

You can access almost all of the library's electronic resources (databases) from home or other location so long as you are an IUPUI student, staff, or faculty member. Library resources are "IP-filtered". Access typically requires using the campus computer network, such as the campus wireless system,  a link to the resource from a library site page to bring up an IU login popup window to authenticate), or an IUPUI VPN as described at "Off-Campus Access to Library Resources".

With Covid-related network changes, VPN does not always work for certain resources. In that case, use a library site link or install our new EZProxy Bookmarklet.

Note that for Skillsoft IT- and Business-related ebooks, using a library site link is required on or off the campus network.
