Julia Stumpff

This is a liaison librarian bio page for Julia Stumpff.

Bio

Currently, I serve as the Instructional Design Librarian at Ruth Lilly Medical Library, Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM). A Master of Science in Library and Information Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Denison University prepared me well for my career in librarianship. I am passionate about communicating concepts that lead to “aha’s” in the classroom (virtual or face-to-face) and also feel strongly about library assessment in order to evaluate, improve, and communicate value to stakeholders.

Before IUSM, I worked as Co-Director of a library and Director of Online Learning at Ivy Tech Community College in Columbus, Indiana, and a Health Sciences Circuit Librarian at University of Illinois at Chicago in Urbana-Champaign.

At IUSM, I combine my experience in online learning and librarianship to provide statewide access to library training and instruction. This includes creating instructional videos and handouts that support the library's Evidence-Based Medicine curriculum and that guide library users when using databases and library services.
