Greetings! I am Nikki, subject liaison for O'Neill School of Public Environmental Affairs, the department of Tourism, Event, and Sports Management, and one of two liaisons for the Kelley School of Business.
I believe that learning occurs when philosophy meets real life experience and application. Also, I respect and appreciate an individual's perspective, which I believe is informed by experiences and identity. A person's familiarity or relationship with concepts and theories is relative to association with his, her, or their personal perspective.
Adopting this attitude while serving as an academic advocate allows me to encourage information seekers to draw personal and authentic connections to their information need, as well as establish meaning and significance to their own learning process.
