H250: Health & Rehabilitation Systems Across the World

Using Google to Find Reports

Not all programs and interventions have been written up and published in the scholarly literature. Instead, some programs may be discussed in reports created by government agencies, health departments, or non-profits. Google is your best bet for finding these reports.

This video will show you how to use advanced Google searching techniques to locate reports on the internet.  Note that this video has a global focus, but the same techniques can be applied to find programs in the United States or Indiana.

Use Google Advanced Search

Google Advanced gives you more control over your search, and can be very helpful in finding grey literature and government documents.

Try these fields:

Region: search for results from a particular country's domain

Domain: search only .gov or .edu

Format: search for PDF only

Experiment with the keyword fields
