Tips to find books & ebooks

The library  Information Desk (317-274-0469) can help find technology ebooks and hardcopy books on 4th level.

 Self-service IUCAT tips:

Access IUCAT: iucat.iu.edu. Try combining 2 keywords or keyword phrases using AND to focus results. Some examples:

database design; app development; video game characters; animated films; animation AND Maya; digital video

Look for hits with "copies available at Indianapolis" or use "Request This" link to obtain a hard copy book in "stacks".

Use a search hit hot-linked title to obtain its IUCAT page. Look for the URL to access an electronic item, or at bottom, the "call number" location for a hard copy.

Electronic resources such as ebooks show a blue icon in your list of hits.

From the search results page you can use "Limit your search" options at lower left, such as "Campus". This shows you ebooks accessible to the IUPUI community, and hardcopy books owned at campus libraries. Access an item's page for details.
