Through the Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS) website you have access to several databases that will allow you to dive deeply into financial and economic research. WRDS is accessible wherever you have an internet connection so you may use it on or off campus.
Note: The databases accessible through WRDS are to be used for academic purposes only, so that students may learn to use and analyze the data, and professors can conduct academic research. They should not be used to gather data for outside organizations as that is outside the license agreement.
Masters students have access during the fall and spring semester if requested. Access is not provided during the summer.
Three suggested financial databases to research fundamentals and pricing:
Compustat
CRSP (The Center for Research in Securities Prices)
CRSP/Compustat Merged Database - Both databases are linked and compustat data is reformatted to CRSP propietary format.
To access WRDS you must be affiliated with the Kelley School of Business.
