What is it?
Datastream is a financial database that provides global coverage of financial markets and economic data. Much of the data goes back to the 1970s, so this is very valuable when doing deep research and conducting time series analysis. Provides information on options, futures, commodities, derivatives, bonds, mutual funds, market indices, interest and exchange rates, macroeconomic indicators, and corporate financial data.
Where is it?
The University Library has 1 dedicated computer terminal on the 2nd floor in the Academic Commons. Ask the information desk and they will direct you to the terminal.
How do I use it?
If you would like to get started using this database, you should make an appointment with the business librarian (Katharine Macy, e-mail: macyk@iupui.edu). You can also begin watching training tutorials provided by Thomson Reuters.
