How Do I Search in a Database?

Different databases may look different but they can all be used in similar ways. Go to a database’s Help function for instructions or you can remember to use the helpful hints below:

Databases can be searched many different ways. You can search by keyword or by fields, such as author's name, subject, journal title, article title. You can also limit your search by date, type of publication (e.g., journal article, scholarly article, etc), language, and more
