This guide is intended to be a introduction to the Medical Library and a tool that corresponds with the Introduction to Medical Library Resources Course.
This 1-hour course introduces researchers to a wide variety of available electronic resources. This provides a fast-paced, broad, strong starting point for faculty, staff, students and residents who are looking to access background medical information, professional medical literature, (for clinical care or publishing), prep CVs and much more.
By the end of the class, attendees will be able to:
Identify and understand the availability, scope and relevance of a wide variety of health-related databases and search strategies
Understand the basics of searching with subject headings (MeSH) and keywords (basic searching in Ovid or PubMed)
Navigate the Ruth Lilly Medical Library website
